Higher Education in New York Colleges
When most people hear the New York mentioned they just assume that people are referring to New York City. Because of the state’s dominance by New York City, most residents separate New York into upstate and downstate. Both comprise a vastly changing landscape--everything from rolling hills and woods to ocean shoreline and urban metropolis. Albany and Rochester are other major cities that help to draw in a record number of tourists each year.
While New York City is considered to be the financial capital of the world, other large employers help to factor into the state’s economy. These include Lincoln Hospital, Merrill Lynch and Company, and Mount Sinai Medical Center. Careers in high demand are those that are computer-related, financial advisors, and mental health workers. Those with degrees in nursing and criminal justice should also find gainful employment. |
