The demand for phlebotomists is expected to rise as much as 20% in the next 10 years, making this field a very secure one in the medical industry. Work hours vary depending on the area of the medical field worked in, but most phlebotomists can expect to work between 8 and 12 hours per day, and should also be prepared to work holidays and weekends.
